States marked "needs verification" in our system have data that has not yet been independently confirmed against the official statute. Treat all data as preliminary until verified.
Carry laws also vary by:

This site primarily addresses state concealed carry laws. Federal laws governing firearms (including but not limited to the Gun Control Act, National Firearms Act, and the Firearm Owners Protection Act safe passage provision) apply in addition to state laws and are not comprehensively covered here. Always be aware of applicable federal law.
6. Reciprocity Limitations
Reciprocity agreements between states change. A state that honored your permit last year may not honor it today. Always verify current reciprocity status with the accepting state's official sources before relying on cross-state carry privileges.
