Alerts tell you about changes going forward. Everything we have already confirmed and published is on the data freshness & law change log — each entry dated, described, and linked to the official source it was verified against. That page also shows when every one of the 51 state records was last checked, so you can see how current any given page is before you rely on it.
What counts as a "law change" alert?
- A state moves to or away from permitless carry
- A state changes its reciprocity agreements with other states
- A state adds, removes, or modifies "sensitive places" restrictions
- A significant court ruling affects carry law in that state (e.g., post-Bruen litigation outcomes)
- Permit fees, training requirements, or minimum age requirements change
We don't send alerts for minor administrative changes (processing time updates, fee adjustments under $10, etc.) — only changes that would actually affect whether or how you can carry.
Frequently asked questions
How often will I get emails?
Only when something actually changes in a state you selected. Most states go a year or more without a change significant enough to alert on. This isn't a newsletter — you won't hear from us on a fixed schedule.
Can I unsubscribe?
Yes, anytime — every alert email includes a way to opt out, and you can also just reply asking to be removed.
