Jul 15, 2026Kentucky — provisional CCDW licenses for 18–20-year-olds become available (HB 312, enacted by veto override Apr 14, 2026). Permitless carry remains 21+.
Jul 1, 2026Wyoming — permitless carry minimum age lowered from 21 to 18 (HB 96).
Jun 12, 2026West Virginia — permitless carry minimum age lowered from 21 to 18 (HB 4106).
WatchingNorth Carolina — permitless carry bill SB 50 passed both chambers in 2025 and was vetoed; the Senate overrode, and the House override vote remains pending as of July 2026. A CHP is still required today.
Sep 10, 2025Florida — open-carry ban held unconstitutional in McDaniels v. State; the Attorney General directed statewide non-enforcement. Open carry is now lawful in practice.
What counts as a "law change" alert?
A state moves to or away from permitless carry
A state changes its reciprocity agreements with other states
A state adds, removes, or modifies "sensitive places" restrictions
A significant court ruling affects carry law in that state (e.g., post-Bruen litigation outcomes)
Permit fees, training requirements, or minimum age requirements change
We don't send alerts for minor administrative changes (processing time updates, fee adjustments under $10, etc.) — only changes that would actually affect whether or how you can carry.

How often will I get emails?
Only when something actually changes in a state you selected. Most states go a year or more without a change significant enough to alert on. This isn't a newsletter — you won't hear from us on a fixed schedule.
Can I unsubscribe?
Yes, anytime — every alert email includes a way to opt out, and you can also just reply asking to be removed.
